Quality Assurance Tester

We are hiring for contract based Quality Assurance Tester for our application.

Pay rate is $16 - $18

Location:  Dufferin and Steeles in North York. 

Quality Assurance Tester

Job Responsibilities

• Writes & executes test plans and scripts; documents test procedures and issues.
• Monitors bug-tracking software, assigns bugs to relevant Development Team members and tests fixes as required.
• Execute test cases to verify bug-free functionality of new and existing features.
• Works closely with the Development team to ensure the effectiveness and quality of the components and systems developed.
• Prepares testing completion metrics & analysis, as well as status read-outs to senior management. 

Job Requirements

• Have some experience and/or knowledge in software testing / quality assurance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analysis and problem solving skills with the desire to learn new things.
• Knowledge of the formal software development life cycles and validation methodologies. 
• Excellent computer skills within Microsoft operating systems.
• Familiarity with SQL query language and relational databases is an asset.
• Knowledge of web-based technologies (ex. CSS, HTML, XML, VBScript, JavaScript, .NET Framework, etc.) is an asset.
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent applicable experience.
